EECHO’s Animal Assisted Therapy Experiential Seminar
Service Description
January 16th and 17th 9am-4:00pm Selma, NC Price: $675.00 for both days (Lunch included) This experiential seminar conducted by Dr. Christina Strayer, LCMHCS, AAT-I, NLC-P, THTC, CYT-200 is held at the non-profit farm Mane and Taill in Jarvisburg, NC. You will work alongside Dr. Christina and Path Certified Equine Professionals Sam Iulo and Frances Danner as you learn an overview of the foundations of AAT, Ecotherapy and Mindfulness. You will learn the Core Principles we incorporate into our sessions based on Natural Lifemanship Principles for connection and more! Our animal co-therapists include equines, dogs, myotonic goats, ducks, and more! You will have a supportive space to learn and practice unique interventions for your clients/students with the animals in a farm setting! Catered lunch is provided from our amazing local restaurants! (Please let us know of any food restrictions beforehand). This workshop is ideal for Mental Health Workers, Rehabilitation/Recreation Directors, Occupational/Physical/Speech Therapists, School Administrators/Teachers/Counselors and more!
